Building The Perfect Computer

Recently, I decided that I didn't have enough going on in my life so I began to start building my own computer part by part. It's something I have always wanted to do but never really had the time to try. Since I have all of the time in the world to do whatever I want now, I figured it was about time to tackle it.

It's not going well.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still trying but it's a lot more work than I originally anticipated. I'm pretty excited about the project and have been ordering bits and pieces here and there.

It's also pretty awesome that I'm getting a lot of help for the parts by Cherry Americas. I've written about some other products I have received from them before, and today I am excited to tell you about the Cherry JD-0800EU-2 DC 2000 keyboard and mouse

I thoroughly tested these out and found them to be excellent! The keyboard is nice and slim and the keys are whisper quiet! There are four hot keys as well: calculator, sleep mode, email, and browser. The optical mouse slides and clicks super fast and works for right or left handed folks. Both parts connect with a USB so that's convenient.  I love the price, especially, only $17! As with all of their products, it's very well made and has a two year warranty.

Now, if I can just get the rest of this new desktop I'm building together, I'll be able to use them all of the time!

Have you ever tried to build your own computer? How did it go? I'd love some tips!

  3. I would have no idea where to even start, I do have tons of friends who could teach me if they had the time or lived near by, speaking of that you said you have all the time in the world, how is that? I want to have this much time to learn new things.

    1. Lol, I do but I don't. Both of my kids are all grown up and the last one moved out last summer for college. Gotta keep myself busy so I don't die from missing my babies, ahem young adults, to death!

    1. Mostly so I can make it however I want. Add more of this, or less of that. It's a fun challenge but definitely a challenge!

  7. Hi. Nice try assembling your own computer. I did mine in the past but it didn't turn out so well. I ended up having my cousin assemble and order the rest of the parts for me. Good luck on this endeavor.
